Jaws used very little visual effects, but used a robotic shark, so the use of artificial action is still in place. There was also a clear divide between good and bad (bad being the shark). And the film also had a sequal (jaws 2)
An example of a blockbuster in cinemas now is the hunger games mokingjay.
